Cover Art

I'm so excited to share the work of the very talented Andy Patrick, who has helped bring my ideas for Unbound to life in these covers. I'm still not sure which one I'll choose, but am thrilled to have such a great choice to make. Which is your favourite?

  2. Thanks for your input. I like them both and can't decide.

  3. I prefer the top one. It says romance, characters and light vs. darkness / life vs. death (via the colors) to me. The bottom one is fine, but it has a more science fiction feel. Although considering what your blurb says about Eaden before and after finding Rachel, it could be argued that love brings color (technically the will to live) back to him and that's the point?

Either way, thanks for mailing me earlier. I just wanted to check your site before I get back to you. Your premise sounds fabulous. :D

    1. Thanks Kathy. Your feedback is appreciated and I agree with your interpretation of the light and dark elements of the picture. I hadn't thought of it that way, but now that you've pointed it out, I can't miss it.

  4. Also, your name is much easier to see in the first, which will be vital when trying to sell copies on Amazon, B&N, etc.

    Tips:

1: Go into a paint program, make a copy of your covers (or just make sure not to save 'em when you do this) and put them in Grayscale. That's how they'll look on people's eReaders.

2: Shrink them down small and see how the essential stuff (name and title) look. (Better yet, send them to your smartphone if you have one and hold that back from your face). Can you see things clearly? Will people be able to recognize the title and author name?

    Hope these help. :)
